Following Extensive Review, AAGLA Selects PayRent as Preferred Online Payment Solution

Los Angeles, CA – PayRent is excited to announce an agreement with the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA) to provide safe and secure online rent collection services for members. In 2016, PayRent founder Ryan Abell identified a need for landlords to easily and securely accept online payments from tenants. Born out of necessity and with landlord specific features in mind, PayRent continues to provide its value-added payment solution to landlords and property managers.

PayRent is fully contactless for both landlords and tenants. Payments made through the PayRent portal are sent digitally, using secure, bank-level encryption, to the landlord’s bank account, eliminating time-consuming hassles of rent collection like trips to the mailbox, post office, or bank. Landlords are notified each time a payment is made, and tenants are sent a receipt, providing a auditable and secure paper trail to track the funds.

Landlord-specific features, such as the ability to block payments, accept only full payments and enforce late fees give the PayRent platform an edge over other online payment options, gives landlords a best practices solution when collecting rent.

PayRent’s unique program does not require a membership or contract, and landlords can choose to absorb payment processing fees, split them, or pass 100% along to their tenants. The platform also allows landlords to accept credit card payments, giving tenants much-needed flexibility in times of struggle. While other payment service providers, like PayPal, charge credit card processing fees to landlords which reduces the amount collected, PayRent charges processing fees to tenants, giving the full rent payment back to landlords.

Ryan Abell, founder of PayRent said, “In the digital and virtual era we are entering; I am thrilled to partner and provide AAGLA members with a secure and safe way for landlords to collect rent. AGGLA has always been an amazing advocate for their members, and we’re excited to play a role in helping their landlords and property managers continue to find success.”

In an effort to make the transition to online rent collection easier for AAGLA members, PayRent is offering free onboarding assistance to all AAGLA members as well as a dedicated account manager.
