County of Los Angeles Honors AAGLA’s Contributions to Solving Homelessness

Industry News,

On January 28, 2020, Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors gave thanks to the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles for its many contributions in helping to find workable solutions to solve the County’s homelessness crisis.  The Association has been working closely for the past many months with Supervisor Kuehl’s office and a coalition of stakeholders such as People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), Brilliant Corners, and rental property owners to encourage participation in voucher programs and to advance alternative housing solutions.  AAGLA Executive Director, Dan Yukelson, stated: “We appreciate the recognition given to us by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.  As housing providers, we must play a pivotal role in bringing affordable and effective housing solutions that do not impose upon us punishing regulations and price controls.”
