Contemporary Information Corporation (CIC) States Tenant Screenings No Longer Impact Applicant Credi

Contemporary Information Corporation, the recommended tenant screening vendor of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles, has reported that all tenant applicant credit screening reports will result in a “soft-inquiry,” which means the processing of an applicant’s credit report will not affect the applicant’s credit score. CIC’s resident screening reports include the choice of credit reports obtained directly from Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion. Regardless of which credit bureau is utilized to obtain credit information, processing the credit report will no longer affect an applicant’s credit score.
