Claremont Creates $1 Million Direct Rental Assistance Program         

  • The Claremont Temporary Housing Stabilization and Relocation Program (“Program”) is now open to renters who are either income-qualified OR need “Emergency Rental Assistance”.”
  • The Program is also open to property owners who plan to make health and safety or energy efficiency upgrades to their property as well as forgivable loans for temporary relocation of renters by owners with 20 or fewer units.

On April 25, 2023, the City Council voted to allocate $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to fund the Temporary Housing Stabilization and Relocation Program. Funds will be dispersed beginning July 1, 2023.
