Video: Say hello to massive summer utility bills in LA ...
By AAGLA and CA Housing

Summary: This Video criticizes the movement by local officials to replace gas appliances with electric ones in Los Angeles housing. Electricity is significantly more expensive for residents, potentially leading to much higher monthly utility bills. Additionally, the local power grid is unprepared for this shift, which could result in frequent outages while failing to meet environmental goals. Property owners face heavy financial burdens due to required building upgrades and new equipment purchases. The transition is also highly disruptive to tenants due to the intrusive construction required for installation. Ultimately, we need more practical energy policies that avoid placing undue stress on both landlords and renters.
