REMINDER: All CA Landlords Required to Provide Mold Booklet to Tenants

Beginning on January 1, 2022, California rental property owners are required to provide a mold booklet all tenants at the beginning of their tenancy. The booklet, “Information on Dampness and Mold for Renters in California,” is available in the Forms Library under D.22.  

This booklet is required by legislation that was passed in 2001 (Senate Bill 732, the “Toxic Mold Protection Act”) but not developed by the Department of Public Health until recently.  It is available in both English and Spanish.

To download this booklet, you must complete the following steps:

1. Login to your Member Compass (Must be a current AAGLA member to login)
2. Go to the AAGLA Rental Forms Library
3. Click on section "D. Rental / Lease Agreement Addendum(s)"
4. Click on the form "D.22 – Information on Mold and Dampness for Renters in California" to download
