Pasadena to Provide Update on Rent Control Implementation & Next Steps

City to Initiate Application Process for Rent Control Board

Recently approved rent control ballot measure, Measure H, went into effect on December 22, 2022. Pasadena City staff will provide an informational update on Measure H’s implementation at the upcoming City Council meeting on January 9^th at 5:30 p.m., Agenda Item 19. 

The matters to be discussed relate to the establishment of the Rental Housing Board and appointments of board members. Appointment of board members is anticipated to be conducted by the City Council by April 21, 2023. The January 9^th presentation will include updates on the rent control board application process, draft rules of appointment and anticipated timeline.
