Oppose the Pasadena Rent Control Ballot Measure NOW!

The Apartment Association of Greater L.A. Seeks the Help of ALL Housing Providers

Attn. All Members and Rental Property Owners

Your help is needed ASAP…Do you own or manage rental properties in Pasadena?  Whether you do or you don’t, you should know that rent control is on the ballot in Pasadena this November.  If this ballot measure passes, the new law would:

  • Limit rent increases to 75% of the annual increase in Consumer Price Index;
  • Establish a Pasadena Rental Housing Board; and
  • Provide guidelines around “just cause” evictions; and also…
  • Tenant groups will be more likely to attempt similar measures in other jurisdictions – DON’T give tenant groups a mandate for more rent control!

We cannot let this measure pass.  The Apartment Association has formed a coalition of stakeholders to oppose the ballot measure.  PLEASE HELP!  Let’s stop this now!  If we fail, tenant groups will have a mandate to establish strict rent control measures within other jurisdictions.

Give to our issues PAC today.  We have undertaken major fundraising efforts to initially raise $100,000 to defeat rent control in Pasadena.  These funds will be used to conduct research and to buy media and create collateral materials, among other things, to oppose the ballot initiative.
