Don’t Be Fooled…Into Making a Costly Fair Housing Error

Industry News,

Throughout our Tri-County territory, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, so called “mystery shopper” tenants are contacting local property owners and pretending that they are interested in renting YOUR vacant unit so they can monitor and test your compliance with the Fair Housing Laws. Even an unintentional violation, a meaningless statement or action, can expose you to a lawsuit and fines that could cost you tens of thousands of dollars. Maybe you are trying to be thoughtful, offering to show a first-floor unit to an elderly person using a cane or upon hearing an accent, asking “where are you from?” DON’T DO IT!!!

Join us online for up to FOUR LIVE SESSIONS covering all aspects of the important topic of Fair Housing Laws. All sessions will be led by leading Property Management Training and Education Expert, Angel Rogers, Founder of STAR Training. Now, more than ever, an understanding of Fair Housing rules can help you to avoid trouble in our current political and regulatory environment and can keep you from making potentially costly mistakes.
