Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) released findings from their September Californians and Their Government survey on state and national issues
As Election Day approaches, the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) has released key insights into voters' sentiments on state and national issues. With less than 50 days remaining and ballots dropping soon, the survey reflects California voters' current attitudes.
Highlights include
- 79% think it is a good thing that a majority of voters can make laws and change public policies by passing initiatives.
- 87% agree that initiatives “bring up important public policy issues that the governor and legislature have not adequately addressed.”
- 55% of California adults and 53% of likely voters stated they feel that the state is headed in the wrong direction.
- 61% of Californians and 57% of likely voters expect bad economic times in the next year.
