Join Us at the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles Membership Meeting – When Your Vote Counts

Be sure to join us for AAGLA’s Annual General Membership Meeting taking place on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2026 AT 11:00 A.M. at 621 South Westmoreland Avenue, Los Angeles.

Joining us this year are two important speakers: Nadav Zohar, who is a Partner at the law firm of Kimball Tirey & St. John, and political expert Jen Rivera, who is the Executive Director of the organization Thrive L.A. As our keynote speakers, we will have Jen Rivera, Executive Director of Vibrant L.A. Also, during this SPECIAL membership meeting, we will be nominating, and members will vote for our 2027 slate of our Board of Directors and our Board President, Earle Vaughan, for the upcoming calendar year. Our past Board President and current Nominations Committee Chairperson, Cheryl Turner, Esq., will conduct the Board of Directors' vote.

This event is IN-PERSON at the offices of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles – 621 South Westmoreland Avenue, Los Angeles (Between 6th Street and Wilshire). A light brunch/lunch will be provided.

Keynote Speaker: Nadav Zohar, Esq., Partner, Kimball Tirey & St. John

Nadav Zohar is a Partner and heads up the Property Ownership Group in our Los Angeles office. He handles landlord/tenant matters and unlawful detainers for residential properties. He graduated from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in 2012, and from Southwestern Law School in 2016. Prior to coming to Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP, Mr. Zohar worked as an associate for a boutique business litigation firm in West Hollywood.

Keynote Speaker: Jen Rivera, Executive Director, Vibrant L.A.

Jennifer “Jenn” Rivera is a campaign strategist and systems change specialist. She has over 20 years of experience in politics, community coalition building and crisis communications. She has served in several senior roles in the City of Los Angeles, including Chief of Staff to Los Angeles City Controller and Chief of Staff to Councilmember Gil Cedillo. She has a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a master’s degree in communications management from the University of Southern California (USC). She received a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish Literature from Loyola Marymount University.

Jennifer’s organization, Vibrant L.A., seeks to improve local governance and quality of life in Los Angeles by focusing on community building, year-round organizing, and identifying and supporting aligned local candidates for public office.

Nominee for 2027 President: Earle Vaughan

Mr. Vaughan is the third generation of his family to own and operate apartment buildings in Los Angeles; he currently owns and manages 15 properties. Mr. Vaughan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at UCLA, and received a master’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach. He is a retired educator for Page Private Schools, a business founded by his great-grandparents in 1908. Mr. Vaughan has been a Director of AAGLA for more than 15 years, serving in Finance, the Los Angeles Government Relations, State Legislative and Publications Committees; he also contributed immensely to the organization during his two previous tenures as Board President.

Welcome: Daniel Yukelson, Executive Director

Daniel Yukelson is currently the Executive Director of The Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA). As a Certified Public Accountant, Yukelson began his career at Ernst & Young, the global accounting firm, and has served in senior financial roles principally as Chief Financial Officer for various public, private, and start-up companies, including Premiere Radio Networks and Oasis West Realty. He is also a former Planning Commissioner for the City of Beverly Hills.

Past Board President and Nominations Committee Chairperson: Cheryl Turner, Esq.

Past Board President, Cheryl Turner, is a trial lawyer and transactional attorney with an extensive background in business, insurance, real estate, and construction. She has managed her own legal practice, Turner Law, for more than twenty years. She is a former Real Estate Broker and currently holds a Public Works Construction Management Certificate. She was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America. Ms. Turner earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor Law degree from the University of Southern California.
