New Fair Market Rents

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Releases New Fair Market Rents

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has recently released its Fair Market Rents (FMR) for fiscal year 2025 (See Chart Below). 

The new FMR’s will become effective as of October 1, 2024, and they are applicable to all residential rental properties in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. As of the date this article was written, updated FMR’s for the City of Los Angeles were not yet published but are expected soon. Within the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, all three-day notices to pay rent or quit must demand an amount greater than these new FMR’s.
