Beverly Hills Updates Allowable Annual Increases Effective June 1st

The City of Beverly Hills recently updated the allowable annual rent increases under its Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO). The increases are effective in June for Chapter 6 tenancies and as of June 12, 2026, for Chapter 5 tenancies.

Chapter 

Maximum Allowable Increase

Chapter 5 –

  • Units where the tenant's initial rent at move-in was $600 or less
  • Located in buildings constructed before September 20, 1978
  • 3.33% effective June 12, 2026, and updated monthly thereafter.

Chapter 6 –

  • Units where the tenant's initial rent at move-in was more than $600
  • Covers all other units subject to the Beverly Hills’ Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO)
  • 3.6% effective in June and updated annually thereafter.
