Regulatory Update on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

Adding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to your property these days is allowed by right under new state laws. Learn how you can take advantage of the law allowing YOU to add density and rental units to your property. Starting in January 2025, a new state law will let you double the number of units on your multifamily property with ADUs. ADUs are a great way, sometimes the ONLY way, to increase rental income and improve your N.O.I.

William "Bill" Dawson has been with Sullivan Dituri since 1990 and is actively engaged in Property Management and Real Estate sales. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Real Estate Finance from California State University at Northridge. He serves the rental housing industry as a director and Past President of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles and had served as a director of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Greater Los Angeles Area Association of Realtors and has been involved with several civic organizations such as the Santa Monica Kiwanis Club and is currently a member of the Santa Monica Rotary Club.

Anthony Dedousis is a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and housing expert who has spent his career using data to help businesses solve problems. He's a longtime housing reform advocate who led policy and research at Abundant Housing LA and currently serves on the board of YIMBY Action.

Matt Williams, Principal, Williams Real Estate Advisors, President of the Board of Directors of AAGLA

Matt Williams is the Principal of Williams Real Estate Advisors, Inc., a full-service property management company that manages approximately $150,000,000 of multifamily assets in Southern California. He previously worked as an analyst at Capmark Financial Group and transitioned into apartment brokerage and then founded his own firm. He joined the Board of Directors of AAGLA in 2021.

Charles Omajuwa, Owner, PuroClean

Charles was born in Nigeria and speaks fluent German and several other languages. He holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and has served in various roles including Claims Representative and Water Mitigation Supervisor. He is WRT, ASD, and AMRT certified and is involved with Kids Hope USA as a mentor for preschool children.
