The 2024 legislative session is over, and legislators have returned from their holiday breaks to work on new laws in the 2025 session. Although about 3,000 new laws were proposed in 2024, including numerous housing regulations, most of the harmful proposals were defeated thanks to the extensive advocacy efforts of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA). However, these laws may resurface in 2025.
