Largest Tax Increase in History: STOP L.A.'s NEW TAXES
A Discussion of the City of L.A.'s New Tax Proposals: Measures ULA and SP
The City of Los Angeles has proposed the largest tax increase in its history. These new taxes will hurt property owners of all types and ultimately result in higher prices for goods and services.
Join us on October 20th at 11:00 a.m. as we discuss proposed ballot measures ULA (transfer tax) and SP (parks tax), and learn how much you may be paying in additional taxes if these measures pass this November.
California already has some of the highest taxes in the country. These measures will increase the burden further, especially as inflation exceeds 8%. Measures ULA and SP would create a $1.1 billion property tax increase—the largest in the city’s history. If they pass, rents for apartments and small businesses could rise by 6%, and the cost of living in L.A. will increase for everyone. Don’t let these measures dismantle decades of Proposition 13 protections. Learn what’s at stake and how to take action.
Webinar Discussion Topics Include:
- Measure SP: Parks tax adding over $84 per 1,000 square feet of property in new taxes
- Measure ULA: Transfer tax raising rates from 0.45% to 4.0% for property sales over $5M, and to 5.5% over $10M
- Plus, live Q&A following the presentation
