Defeat Rent Control ? No on Proposition 33 Campaign Event!
Defeat Proposition 33: 2024 Ballot Initiative Threatens Costa-Hawkins Protections
Rent Control is Back on the Ballot in 2024 – Learn What You Must Do to Defeat Proposition 33!
Supported by tenant rights group Housing Is a Human Right and its parent organization, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Proposition 33 would repeal the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, a bi-partisan state law passed in 1995 that allows rental housing providers to market rental rates following a vacancy. These same special interests were behind 2018's Prop. 10 and 2020's Prop. 21 – and now they’re at it again!
If Proposition 33 passes, it would have disastrous effects on rental property owners, including significantly lowering property values, increasing the possibility of bank foreclosures, and forcing fire-sale property prices. Rental owners would no longer be allowed to increase rents to market rates for new tenants, limiting their ability to keep up with rising costs.

Wine Tasting by Angeleno Wine Company
The Forgotten History of Los Angeles Winemaking
Back in 1833, before California became a state, commercial winemaking began in Los Angeles. At the time, Los Angeles-based vintners supplied wine to Northern California and the East Coast. Prior to Prohibition, when a wine bottle said “California Wine,” people knew it came from Los Angeles.
Today, that tradition has returned with winemakers like Angeleno Wine Company, which sources grapes grown entirely within Los Angeles County. Their wines include unique varietals like Tannat, Graciano, Godello, Loureiro, Treixadura, and Alicante Bouschet, as well as Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. All wines are naturally produced and 100% vegan. Visit www.angelenowine.com for more info.
