The Tenant Protection Act of 2019 (TPA), also known as Assembly Bill 1482, imposes both rent control and just cause eviction protections at the state level unless superseded by local ordinances. With the passage of Senate Bill 567, effective April 1, 2024, even greater restrictions are now in place regarding “no-fault” evictions.

Join industry expert Patti Widget of Widget's Way as she breaks down these important regulations and their practical implications for landlords. This interactive webinar will clarify how state laws interact with local ordinances and which properties are impacted.

During the webinar, we will also cover the following:

  • Which rental properties are covered under A.B. 1482? How much can YOU increase rent this year?
  • What’s changed due to Senate Bill 567? Can you still move into your own property?
  • What relocation fees are required for owner move-in or substantial remodel evictions?
  • How to evict your tenant “for cause” – what are your options?
  • Live Q&A – ask Patti your specific legal questions!

THE INFORMATION PROVIDED DURING THIS WEBINAR IS FOR GENERAL INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. NO LEGAL OR TAX ADVICE IS BEING GIVEN. PLEASE CONSULT A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL.
