April is Fair Housing Month! The federal Fair Housing Act (FHA), enacted in April of 1968 and is regularly amended and made even stricter under California law. In general, the FHA prohibits discrimination in housing, lending, and sales based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, and familial status (including pregnant women). It applies to most housing, requiring accessibility and forbidding discriminatory terms or steering.
Staying up to date on the latest Fair Housing Regulations is the only way to avoid costly trouble. This webinar will get you up to speed on Fair Housing rules with our Expert, Angel Rogers of STAR Training. Get the knowledge you need to avoid discrimination claims. Rental housing providers must always ensure that their buildings and apartment communities are open and welcoming to individuals of all types. We are intertwined with and are committed to the principles established under the Fair Housing Act, which are based on the concept that all people should be treated equally.
Join us online for a LIVE informational webinar and Q&A session with Property Management Training and Education Expert, Angel Rogers, Founder of STAR Training for this Fair Housing Update and learn how the current political climate may have altered fair housing rules and how YOU can avoid making potentially costly mistakes. Get yourself ready for April’s “Fair Housing Month!”
