April Adams is the founder of RentWiseLA, a consulting firm she established in 2023 to help housing providers navigate the complexities of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. With more than 21 years of experience working with the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, April oversaw program compliance, leasing operations, and housing assistance administration.
Through RentWiseLA, she provides specialized consulting and advocacy services involving lease-ups, rent increases, housing inspections, abatements, payment discrepancies, and administrative dispute resolution. Her work emphasizes transparency and improved relationships between housing providers and housing authorities.
April has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Urban Planning at California State University, Northridge. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA) in 2027.
